when the battle is over
one side topples another,
one side cower underneath the powers
of the victors, who revere themselves as heroes
as they grow older. Each side attempts to justify
their orders to take lives, to kill men that bear the same
drives, the same incentives to survive. The men on both sides
desire to return to their wives, sons, and other families’ ties.
They were taught to enforce their beliefs in multiple assembly lines.
But within this madness, resides the truth of conflict, battles and strife:
